He didn't just interrupt them at the bar, he also interrupted them at the hospital too when Ray was trying to tell Neela he loved her. That dude just got in the way!

that snowball scene, i think it was a mixture of carter and that ambulance that interupted them

How about being interrupted by the powers that be? By that I mean the kiss in the car that we never got to see the end of!

Here's a good interruption: When Ray's phone call interrupted the Neela/Brenner fight in T-Minus-6. Vengeance is sweet.

One thing I always wondered: What happened after the kiss? They stopped, mumbled adieu and Neela lept out of the car? This is so fanfic territory. They were just so awkward the next morning, you'd think something more happened.

I have always wondered that too jont, it's so nerve racking!! I'm sure they did it on purpose so it could be another one of those blanks that we're supposed to fill in. I wanted to see the whole kiss too we waited over two years for that.

Idk do you guys think she invited him up? I've never been too sure. I mean Ray loves Neela and he was the king of the one night stands but it's different with Neela. And they were really flustered around each other when they went to work. Then again, if a boy who was my best friend that I lived with for a long time and secretly had feelings for for a long time had finally kissed me I'm sure I'd be nervous and flustered too. Also, I would hate to think that the first time Ray and Neela made love they were still with other people. A part of me thinks yes but then the other part says no. Idk. Thoughts anyone?

I often wonder that too. I'd like to think they did but also no at the same time. Even if Neela was going out with Gates who happened to be a twat. I don't know!

I don't think they had sex after their first kiss but I do think they did more than kiss in the front seat of his truck. I think it led to a pretty intense makeout session that came close but they stopped before they could completely cross that line. That would explain how awkward they were with each other in the next episode.

Hmm, interesting theory D!! Them going to 2nd base could explain the awkwardness too. I like that theory because like I said I would hate to think that the first time they went all the way that they were still with other people. We want Reela to happen, but not like that. It should be done right. A makeout session, too bad we didn't get to see it!! They should have shown us the whole kiss.

I like the idea of a make-out session, although not so much the prospect of their having a reason to stop themselves going further. Damn timing. That would certainly lead to awkwardness.

Neela's kind of a crucial interrupter of Reela, isn't she? What with the ball constantly being in her court and her not doing anything about it.

This theme of interruptions leads to me something slightly OT. I've been thinking about it and it occurred to me that maybe indecisiveness is not as much a defining trait/flaw for Neela as impulsiveness is. She has a dual nature, evident in her being afraid to take risks and then becoming a surgeon.

She impulsively dropped out of medicine, impulsively married Gallant, impulsively moved out of her and Ray's apartment the very moment it struck her that it was getting adulterous, impulsively fell into a relationship with Gates and Brenner-- and then on a more positive, but long time coming note, she impulsively finally moved to Baton Rouge to be with Ray. It's like due to her being unsure of what she wants, she just makes an all-out drastic move toward one thing that seems practical at the moment. She was never fully-satisfied with her decisions though. It bothered her that everytime she rolled the dice, something always went wrong.

It is interesting how her decision to ultimately be with Ray seemed to have a risky element to it that she needed to be impulsive for, but at the same time was the sanest, most sensible, least masochistic and just plain right choice for her. She utilized her impulsive side for good, while triumphing her sense of indecision that plagued her all her life. Yay.

I am one that also votes for the makeout session, and not making love.

At least, that's how I wrote it in my fanfic!

After all, they were in a car - at some point it just gets awkward to maneuver. And I don't see Neela being with it enough to invite him up.

But I definitely see her being the one to stop proceedings. And if she was the one, it would explain Ray's slight sheepishness the next day - and his being defensive at the jukebox.

Aka, he got into it (so did she) but she was the one to end it, leaving him a little high and dry.

I remember that scene as well but then I remember the last scene of Reela and Gates not to mention simon saw em together. hehehehe. i loved that part

Haunted also rocked, Gates and not to mention Simon were farthest people from her mind that night....

but still, gates and simon seeing ray and neela together on that video chat, HAHAHAHA, omg, thats priceless yet so very sweet for reela fans

Did anybody get the feeling the smirk on Ray's face during I Feel Good was directed at Gates just as much as it was for Brenner?

i was thinking the very same thing

I hoped Ray would get a public comeback on Gates for being 'the roommate who didn't try sleep with her'. The web cam scene was fitting in the sense that both the x-boyfriends and the ER got to see the best man won in the end. Who could blame Ray for being a little smug.

hehe. it was awseome...gates and brenner needed to see that. both of those two dumbies caused such problems in reela's relationship..it was awseome to see ray's face during that scene.
