Now all of the doctors, and nurses, are in! TV Guide Magazine has learned that Sherry Stringfield will return to ER as the NBC show approaches its April 2 series finale, which means all of the series' original cast members have come back for a farewell.

She's the last to sign on, following the likes of George Clooney, Julianna Margulies, Noah Wyle and Anthony Edwards, who have already filmed scenes. Stringfield earned three Emmy nominations playing troubled doc Susan Lewis. She first left the show in its third season, and that departure episode was seen by 37 million viewers. Then she returned in 2001, in an episode that garnered 28 million viewers. Stringfield eventually left the show for good in 2005. Until now. -Ileane Rudolph

I heard she wasn't going to come back, not that I'm complaining. Thanks for posting G-Unit that's great news!!!! They got everyone to come back, it sounds like the finale is going to be amazing!!! Maybe they'll show where all our favorite characters ended up?? Hmmmm

So all of the original six are coming back. I didn't think it was going to happen with Sherry Stringfield leaving in the middle of her contract, twice but it is nice to see that was put aside for the final season.

Holy moley - the show was THAT big???? That is an insane number of people watching.

I'm so curious as to how many are going to turn out for the last few episodes.

And why is she returning?

I'm starting to think with her returning, Weaver and Ross that this has *something* to do with Carter.

Bodes well for folks seeing Ray return too! God, I can't wait to see these promos.

Was the 37 million episode the one where Susan leaves Mark hanging at the train station? - that was a brilliantly written episode, really emotional and shows what the ER writers could do - makes you realise how things have really changed since then!
