ER star Parminder Nagra and her husband, photographer James Stenson, have welcomed son Kai David Singh Stenson, a rep for the actress confirms to PEOPLE.

"Mother, daddy, and baby are all doing great," says the rep. The child was born on May 19.

After finding out Nagra was pregnant, producers of the NBC medical drama decided to incorporate her pregnancy in some final episodes.

"We were trying to juggle how that was going to work because she [was] starting to show," ER executive producer John Wells said at the time. "What seemed sort of tragic at first ... when we talked about it ... there was a tremendous feeling of, 'Oh, there's this one [story] that we haven't done,' so it's actually very exciting."

In March, Nagra celebrated the upcoming arrival of her baby boy with a shower planned by Stenson. Among the gifts from her husband? A Tuni & G Cutie navy blue onesie.

Yes Sammy - I agree he is cute - they always are at that age, not too fragile.
