| I have so many reela songs. But this just came on and I thought of this thread. It's a song by Opshop, a New Zealand band, called Waiting now. It makes me think back to roomie days. Well specifically to when ray is standing watching the taxi drive away. I'm sure no one will have heard it but it's on you tube so check it out. One day is also another song of theirs that fits.
Waiting now
Dawn says almost everything Passing in front of you and me Disguised as a memory We’re all guilty and under the influence - of gravity But I’m so partial to those moments with you Oh, I’m so partial to those moments with you
Oh-woah… Oh-woah…
I’ve bathed in our own lament When we were flashing in front of my eyes And I and I and me are my own worst enemies But I hope you’ll see the best of us in time
[Chorus] I’m waitin’ now for this cause to take effect I’m waitin’ now - I am And though you’re standing up high on this precipice I’m waitin’ now - I am Waitin’ now I am I am
Oh, I’ll kneel before my, before my detriment Before my stomach starts churning both inside and out I’ve been broken down before (ah, ah, ah) And this apartment is still a mess (ah, ah, ah)
I’m waitin’ now for this cause to take effect Waitin’ now - I am And though you’re standing up high on this precipice I’ll wait for you - oh, I am I’m waitin’ now Oh… I am
[Music] Woah… woah… I’m Woah… woah…
I’m waitin’ now I’m waitin’ now Waitin’ now - I am And though we’re standing up high on this precipice I’ll wait for you - ‘cause I am I’m waitin’ now Oh… I am I am I am I am

| This one reminds me of our roomies too:
"A Lonely September", Plain White T's:
I'm sittin' here all by myself just tryin' to think of something to do Tryin' to think of something, anything just to keep me from thinking of you But you know it's not working out 'cause you're all that's on my mind One thought of you is all it takes to leave the rest of the world behind
Well I didn't mean for this to go as far as it did And I didn't mean to get so close and share what we did And I didn't mean to fall in love, but I did And you didn't mean to love me back, but I know you did
I'm sittin' here tryin' to convince myself that you're not the one for me But the more I think, the less I believe it and the more I want you here with me You know the holidays are coming up I don't want to spend them alone Memories of Christmas time with you will just kill me if I'm on my own
Well I didn't mean for this to go as far as it did And I didn't mean to get so close and share what we did And I didn't mean to fall in love, but I did And you didn't mean to love me back
I know it's not the smartest thing to do we just can't seem to get it right But what I wouldn't give to have one more chance tonight One more chance tonight
I'm sittin' here tryin' to entertain myself with this old guitar But with all my inspiration gone it's not getting me very far I look around my room and everything I see reminds me of you Oh please, baby won't you take my hand we've got nothing left to prove
Well I didn't mean for this to go as far as it did And I didn't mean to get so close and share what we did And I didn't mean to fall in love, but I did And you didn't mean to love me back, but I know you did
And I didn't mean to meet you then we were just kids And I didn't mean to give you chills the way that I kiss And I didn't mean to fall in love, but I did And you didn't mean to love me back but I know you did Don't say you didn't love me back 'cause you know you did No, you didn't mean to love me back But you did

| Hey I was just sitting around listening to one of my favorite songs and just thought about how PERFECTLY it fits to Reela!!! Here it is:
Sorry by Buckcherry
Oh I had a lot to say, was thinking on my time away I missed you and things weren't the same 'Cause everything inside it never comes out right And when I see you cry, it makes me want to die
I'm sorry, I'm bad, I'm sorry, I'm blue I'm sorry about all things I said to you And I know, I can't take it back I love how you kiss, I love all your sounds And baby, the way you make my world go round And I just wanted to say, I'm sorry
This time I think, I'm to blame It's harder to get through the days You get older and blame turns to shame 'Cause everything inside it never comes out right And when I see you cry, it makes me want to die
I'm sorry, I'm bad, I'm sorry, I'm blue I'm sorry about all things I said to you And I know, I can't take it back I love how you kiss, I love all your sounds And baby, the way you make my world go round And I just wanted to say, I'm sorry
Every single day, I think about how we came all this way The sleepless nights and the tears you cried It's never too late to make it right Oh yeah, sorry
I'm sorry, I'm bad, I'm sorry, I'm blue I'm sorry about all things I said to you And I know, I can't take it back I love how you kiss, I love all your sounds And baby, the way you make my world go round And I just wanted to say, I'm sorry
I'm sorry, baby I'm sorry, baby I'm sorry
It's bittersweet but it most definitely fits to this couple!

| I wondered where this thread was hiding... Don't really agree with most of the songs listed thus far, but that's most likely because i'm quite picky when it comes to music... not that these choices are any better... - untouched by the veronicas (don't know why but it just makes me think of the roomies, maybe when neela finally realises how much she wants/needs ray in her life? and how little they physically touched throughout their friendship?) - electric feel by mgmt (quite a sexy song, describing the tension between them) -playground love by Air (everyone must here this song, it is freakingly good and quite sexy).... | |

| I know about to show my age here but I was listening to a CD by country group Alabama, whose music I have loved since I was six years old. One of their first hits in 1980 was a song called 'Why, Lady, Why,' After listening to it and looking up the lyrics, hearing it made me think of Ray and how he could have felt about Neela from the time he started to fall for her up to now.
Here's the lyrics:
Why, lady, why, can't I leave you alone? I try, lady, try, but the feeling's too strong. You stay on my mind. Feel just like a fool. Why, lady, why, can't I get over you?
Why, lady, why? It was easy before. I try, lady, try, but it ain't easy no more. To be on my way would be the best thing to do. Why, lady, why, can't I get over you?
Why, lady, why, can't I leave you alone? I try, lady, try, but the feeling's too strong. To be on my way would be the best thing to do. Why, lady, why, can't I get over you?

| "Don't Speak" by No Doubt (especially as Ray's POV after Neela moved out)
You and me We used to be together Everyday together always I really feel That I'm losing my best friend I can't believe This could be the end It looks as though you're letting go And if it's real Well I don't want to know
Don't speak I know just what you're saying So please stop explaining Don't tell me cause it hurts Don't speak I know what you're thinking I don't need your reasons Don't tell me cause it hurts
It's all ending I gotta stop pretending who we are... You and me I can see us dying...are we?
************ "Can't Stop" by Ozomatli (this is the song that played during the Ray/Gates fight scene in 'I Don't', but I feel it was used there as a sign that despite the way things ended in S.13, there will be a happy ending for our Roomies.)
So you feel you can't go on (that) you got nothin' left to lose There is no one left to love (that) you got nuthin' left to choose
Can't live for yesterday Cuz we gotta move on in a different way Today is another day Can't stop now today is another day
CHORUS: Can't stop this love, can't stop we're movin' Can't stop this love got to keep movin' we got faith in what love can do
don't look back we're gonna make it through can't stop now, got to keep movin'
You feel you got nowhere to run There is nothing we can't do You have so much left to love In the end there's always me and you...

| I was listening to the radio the other day and I heard this song that reminded me of our dear roomies. I finally found the lyrics. It's by Jason Mraz it's called 'Lucky'........
Lucky
Do you hear me? I'm talking to you Across the water across the deep blue ocean Under the open sky, oh my, baby I'm trying
Boy I hear you in my dreams I feel your whisper across the sea I keep you with me in my heart You make it easier when life gets hard
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend Lucky to have been where I have been Lucky to be coming home again Ooh Ooh Ooh
They don't know how long it takes Waiting for a love like this Everytime we say goodbye I wish we had one more kiss I'll wait for you I promise you, I will
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend Lucky to have been where I have been Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we're in love in every way Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed Lucky to be coming home someday
And so I'm sailing through the sea To an island where we'll meet You'll hear the music fill the air I'll put a flower in your hair
Through the breezes through the trees Move so pretty you're all I see As the world keeps spinning 'round You hold me right here, right now
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend Lucky to have been where I have been Lucky to be coming home again
I'm lucky we're in love in every way Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed Lucky to be coming home someday
Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh, Ooh

| Hi. First post and all (good timing, right?), but I discovered this song and could not resist putting it on here. Just listening to the lyrics brought back flashes of Reela history. It has a Crystal Village vibe to it as well.
Best Friends - The Perishers
I remember your mouth, what it said, how it kissed me, And how it was burdened, not like anyone else And I remember your feet, I saw them dance to the new beat And When I asked you to, they walked a mile in my shoes.
We were best friends, more than best friends Let's do it all again
I remember your hands, I heard them clap for my encore Felt them pull me back, As I tried to break loose And I remember your eyes, How they saw right through me And how that made me feel... so sick and bored with myself.
We were best friends, more than best friends Let's do it all again We were best friends, more than best friends Let's do it all again
Now I know that I loved her and I wish I had told her But I was too slow it was already over yeah I was too slow it was already over.
Let's do it all again Let's do it all again Let's do it all again

| Another song that sort of sung out like a revelation when I put my ipod on shuffle. It did remind me of the more recent events in this storyline. The whole song generally fits, but there are certain lines... First Day of My Life - Bright Eyes This is the first day of my life I swear I was born right in the doorwayI went out in the rain suddenly everything changed They're spreading blankets on the beach Yours is the first face that I saw I think I was blind before I met you Now I don’t know where I am I don’t know where I’ve been But I know where I want to goAnd so I thought I’d let you know That these things take forever I especially am slow But I realize that I need you And I wondered if I could come homeRemember the time you drove all night Just to meet me in the morningAnd I thought it was strange you said everything changed You felt as if you'd just woke up And you said “this is the first day of my life I’m glad I didn’t die before I met you But now I don’t care I could go anywhere with you And I’d probably be happy”So if you want to be with me With these things there’s no telling We just have to wait and see But I’d rather be working for a paycheck Than waiting to win the lottery Besides maybe this time is different I mean I really think you like me | |

| Hey everyone,
it's been a while, but i used to really enjoy this thread, so i thought i'd come back to it because the other day i was going through some of the stuff i hadn't listened to for a while on my ipod, and for some reason the lyrics to this song really reminded me of reela, so here it is, just for the sake of it !! Sum 41 - With Me
I don't want this moment to ever end Where everythings nothing without you I'll wait here forever just to, to see you smile 'Cause it's true, I am nothing without you
Through it all, I made my mistakes I stumble and fall, but I mean these words
I want you to know With everything I won't let this go, these words are my heart and soul I'll hold on to this moment you know, 'cause I'd bleed my heart out to show And I won't let go
Thoughts read unspoken, forever in doubt Pieces of memories fall to the ground I know what I didn't have so, I won't let this go 'Cause it's true, I am nothing without you
All the streets where I walked alone, with nowhere to go Have come to an end
I want you to know With everything I won't let this go, these words are my heart and soul I'll hold on to this moment you know, 'cause I'd bleed my heart out to show And I won't let go
In front of your eyes, it falls from the skies When you don't know what you're looking to find In front of your eyes, it falls from the skies When you just never know what you will find (what you will find)
I don't want this moment to ever end Where everythings nothing without you
I want you to know With everything I won't let this go, these words are my heart and soul I'll hold on to this moment you know, 'cause I'd bleed my heart out to show And I won't let go (I want you to know) With everything I won't let this go, these words are my heart and soul I'll hold on to this moment you know, 'cause I'd bleed my heart out to show And I won't let go
