| The almost kiss at Ray/Neela's apt right when Neela is moving out. and the part when Ray says "You're the best friend I have EVER had." That was so sweet and makes me squeal everytime. lol.
I also love the eppy when Neela comes to their apt and sees Ray watching t.v. and asks him about his date. he says he got stood up or something like that i'm not exactly sure, but i love that part b/c they start watching tv and she puts her head on his shoulders which you can tell pleases him.
Biggest what-if: what if neela and gallant hadn't gotten married. what if they just dated and he went back to iraq. would neela still have felt as guilty about her devoloping feelings for Ray. i don't think she would have. if they were just bf/gf her falling for another guy isn't a big deal. it happens alot. So had they not gotten married, would Reela be together already. i think so.

Would that maybe be the one where Neela goes into the building that's on fire and back at the hospital Ray has a go at Pratt for letting her go in the first place, and then Pratt sees how relieved Ray is when Neela is back and OK, and playing with those kids in the room next door?

| I think this may be my favorite Roomie season. I've been torn about this, but I think it's true. I've noticed that there are quite a lot of clips from this season online. S13 and S15 were definitely eventful, but S12... ah, so many good moments. They were both so damn likeable too. And, my favorite Roomie scene: the ending to 'Strange Bedfellows.' I don't think I could fully explain how fascinating I find it. There's a certain perfection to it. Its sadness and yearning. The physical and emotional intimacy, camraderie and history that they are shown to share. That one moment where he makes her smile by saying, "We sure had fun, right?" The way Ray looks at Neela throughout the whole scene, he's just so vulnerable, so obviously wearing his heart on his sleeve. My friend claims that Shane West just has a way of looking at women. She's probably right. This was back in the day when the decisions Neela made didn't result in an utter backlash of calling her a slut or insensitive or whatever. We got her decision. We admired her even more for staying true to her husband. It's that self-righteous, ethical alarm system Ray alluded to in some episode. One can imagine Ray loved her more because she didn't betray her husband. The Cary Brothers track, 'Ride,' was hauntingly well-suited for this scene. The dialogue pausing in just the right instances, so the lyrics can be heard. Ray's finally declaring, "I wish I didn't feel the way I feel... You're the best friend I ever had." The words just heartbreakingly spill out. If we didn't feel for him before, we feel for him now, especially when she ultimately leaves him. All you can see is Ray alone in the street (a creepy foreshadowing?) and the lone strumming of the last notes of the song. It was the end to a great build-up and grounding of their relationship. An end to their innocence, almost. But, I always thought such a wonderful way to bridge to the next part of this story. I was glad when the moment was revisited in its own way in 'Haunted.' I must admit, I was just a casual viewer when this episode was first shown. I don't think I had even watched the few episodes that came before this one. I was definitely aware of the potential of Reela and the chemistry, but when I caught the end of the episode, I was hooked. I didn't even know if I was so much explicitly shipping them as much as my desire just to watch what happened next. I'm glad I kept watching. | |

I've realized need to like some happy moments! I think Ray made me feel sorry for him in those string episodes leading up to that episode. I think it was 'Lost in America' where he treated that guy in love with his best friend's girl-- and that expression on his face as he heard the guy's story-- POOR RAY! I feel like watching 'I Do' again to see if there's any hint of his feelings in there.

| Yeah, I was curious about I Do as well since that comes after Two Ships where Ray chews Pratt out for leaving Neela behind. Then in I Do he seems to have no problem with Neela getting married except for a slightly wistful "my place" when Chuny asks him where Michael and Neela are going for their honeymoon.
I took this to mean he was still in the crush stage...

I took this to mean he was still in the crush stage... Yeah, I remember that. My shipper heart definitely decided to read that as an indication of his feelings. I know there's a deleted scene out there where Ray congratulates Gallant and says that his band would have played at the wedding if the rest of the members weren't at some "weed fest" in Florida. I never knew what to make of that scene. (I guess that's why it was deleted?) But, it was interesting to see Gallant and Ray interact.

| Hey, I was wondering if anyone has all Reela clips from this season? Meaning Season 12. I saw season 11 but I need all clips from Season 12!!
So if anyone could post those, that would be very nice of you.
By the way my name is Erica, and I am a huge Shane West fan.
